This month, Readers’ Rigs is all about getting off the beaten track. From beachside tracks at Yuraygir National Park to quiet bush camps in WA and Victoria, these rigs are out exploring in style — and the photos show just how much fun a road trip can be.
Readers’ Rigs is our way of celebrating those trips. It’s a chance to show off your rig, the places it’s taken you and the memories you’ve made along the way — and to give everyone else a few ideas for their next adventure.
How to enter
Think your rig could be featured in Caravan World? Submit your best travel photo (minimum 1MB), along with a short description of your towing setup and where the photo was taken. The more detail you include, the more the moment comes alive.
All entries until 1 April 2026 go in the running for:
Monthly prize: Each month’s winner will receive a random Hema Maps Explorer Pack, featuring handy atlases, guide and region/state/territory maps, plus a fabric wallet to keep it all organised. Find out more about Hema Maps Explorer Packs here.
Readers’ Rig of the Year grand prize worth almost $3600, announced in May 2026

The February 2026 Readers’ Rigs winner
👑 Our February Readers’ Rigs winner is Tony Barnett, who sent in this fantastic shot of their full offroad 18ft Titanium Hardcore and 2019 Toyota LandCruiser Prado GXL.
“Pebbly Beach Campground in Yuraygir National Park is one of our favourite beach camps on the NSW North Coast. The trip in adds to the adventure and includes a beach drive and a creek crossing, which should only be done at low tide.”

February finalists
Mark Wintle
Mark Wintle sent in this great pic of his red-dirt coated Crusader Musketeer van taken near Fruit Bat Falls on the way to the Tip — the northernmost point of mainland Australia.

Matthew Wallace
Mathew Wallace took this photo at Southcombe Caravan Park in Port Fairy, Vic.
“We searched the van looking for the pot of gold, then realised our trusty 2016 New Age Manta Ray was the pot of gold taking us to many amazing destinations.

Barb Petering
Barb Petering captured this photo while on the road to Mount Clare at Walpole, WA.
“We are active travellers, so we take bikes and kayaks with us on Ford Ranger. Our Opal Tourer MK1 206 caravan has been fantastic and tows like a dream behind the Ranger.”

Graeme Kemp
Graeme Kemp sent in this pic of his Toyota LandCruiser and Urban Tungsten Tourer perfectly mirrored in a campside puddle — a double dose of northern Victoria adventure!
