Readers’ Rig of the Year — Terms & Conditions
Promoter Details
The promoter of the Readers’ Rig of the Year competition is Hema Group Pty Ltd (ABN 29 155 672 192), located at 3 Wyman Place, Braeside, VIC 3195.
Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents only.
Employees of Hema Group and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
Competition Period
The competition opens on 3 April 2025 and closes on 1 April 2026 at 23.59pm AEST.
Entries within this time frame will also be included in the monthly Readers’ Rigs competition and be included in that prize draw.
How to Enter
To enter, participants must complete the entry form on the Hubspot platform.
Entrants must upload:
- A high-quality image (minimum 1Mb file size) of their caravan and tow vehicle setup in a scenic or interesting location.
- A short description that includes:
- Where the photo was taken
- Make and model of both your caravan and tow vehicle
- A story or context behind the photo (e.g., it was taken during your first Big Lap, the location is a favourite off-grid escape, an amusing story from where/when the photo was taken)
- People may be included in the image but remember that the caravan and scenery is the focal point.
Only valid entries with both an image and accompanying description will be considered.
Judging Criteria
This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.
Entries will be judged internally by the Hema Group team. The winner will be selected on 14 April 2026. The winning entry will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Creativity and quality of the image
- Scenic or unique location
- Overall aesthetic (composition, lighting, colours)
- Supporting story and rig details provided in the description
Prize Details
The winning entry will receive a prize pack valued at nearly $3600, including:
- Two-night luxury stay at BIG4 Yarra Valley Park Lane Holiday Park (Valued at $1180)
- Sunrise hot air ballooning experience in the Yarra Valley with Global Ballooning (Valued at $990)

The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Publication of Winner
The winner will be publicly announced in the May 2026 issue of Caravan World magazine.
Their winning entry will also be featured on Caravan World’s social media channels (including Instagram and Facebook).
Winner Notification
The winner will be notified directly via the email address provided in their entry on or around 8 May 2026.
If the winner does not respond within three (3) months of the initial contact, Hema Group reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
Use of Entries
By entering this competition, entrants grant Hema Group permission to publish, repurpose and reuse their submitted images and written descriptions in print, digital and promotional material related to the competition, including but not limited to articles in the Caravan World magazine, website and social media.
Entries may also be featured in the regular monthly Readers’ Rigs competition in Caravan World.
Risk and Liability Waiver
The prize includes products and experiences provided by third-party suppliers. Use of these prizes is subject to each provider’s individual terms and conditions, including any required safety waivers.
Hema Group accepts no responsibility for any personal injury, loss or damage incurred in connection with the prize or its use.
Privacy Statement
Personal information collected (e.g., name, email address and postal address) will be used for the purposes of administering the competition.
The winner’s name, caravan and vehicle details, image and description may be published in Caravan World magazine and online.
Email and postal addresses will be used solely for winner contact and prize delivery and will not be shared without consent.
