Winter is chilly but beautiful in Victoria
Kids stay free this winter
Winter is a great time for a mid-year getaway. Sure, the weather is colder, but pop on some warm layers and enjoy the great outdoors with fewer crowds and less traffic. Nothing beats a winter camping trip, sitting around an open fire toasting marshmallows!
This winter, Park Lane’s Kids Stay Free winter campaign is running from 1 June to 28 August 2025. That’s right, kids stay free across all accommodation types and there are no blackout dates. This promotion is only valid for new bookings made directly with Park Lane via phone or website. Use code WINTER25 for cabins/glamping and WINTER25S for sites.

What makes Park Lane different?
Many holiday parks can be similar in terms of the type and standard of accommodation and facilities offered. But Park Lane’s holiday parks stand out from the crowd, which is why so many guests return year after year.
Park Lane is renowned for its consistent standard of cleanliness, customer care, thoughtfully designed accommodation and facilities that are second to none. All six parks feature powered, unpowered and ensuite sites for those who tow, luxury camping options such as geo domes, safari tents and glamping pods, and a variety of cabin options (accessible, classic and superior), so visitors have plenty of options no matter how they choose to travel. Each park has features tailored to its setting, but all are designed to make visitor’s holidays easy and enjoyable.
Families love the park’s indoor play centres (Bendigo and Traralgon), jumping pillows and seasonal kids’ programs. Traralgon also features an adventure zone with mini golf, laser tag and a ropes course. And all parks, except Yarra Valley, are pet friendly and offer dog parks.

Amenities blocks and camp kitchens are modern, clean and accessible — the camp kitchen at Yarra Valley is one of a kind and perhaps the biggest you’ll ever see — the perfect place to gather and create those simple, memorable moments.
Recent updates across the parks
Park Lane is always working to keep its parks fresh and innovative, with a range of new additions and upgrades across the six locations — including new cabins and glamping domes to exciting play zones.
In Bendigo, there are brand-new classic cabins and stylish superior cabins, plus a wheelchair-accessible cabin.
At Traralgon, new classic and wheelchair-accessible cabins have been added alongside improved facilities like mini golf, a ropes course and laser tag for some extra family fun all year round.
The Yarra Valley park has recently completed geo domes, with safari tents, mega domes and wheelchair-accessible cabins set to launch in June.

Phillip Island now features new glamping pods conveniently located just minutes from the coast and major local attractions.
“These upgrades help us offer premium, comfortable stays across every price point and travel style,” said Courtney.
Things to do
There’s always something exciting happening at a Park Lane holiday park, especially during school holidays. Families can expect free activities such as colour runs, scavenger hunts, crafts and games and at special times of the year such as Easter there are egg hunts and pancake breakfasts.

Camp for a cause
If you’re looking to make meaningful memories, then the new ‘One Night Outside — Camp for a Cause’ event running across all six locations later this year (Saturday 30 August 2025) is an absolute must-do.
Guests, schools and community groups are invited to camp under the stars for this special fundraising night, with all proceeds raised going to Flying Fox. Flying Fox is a non-profit organisation that organises camps and getaways for young people with disabilities.
For every booking on that night, Park Lane will donate 50 per cent of site fees and 10 per cent of cabin and glamping fees to Flying Fox.

When to travel
Victoria might get a little chilly in winter, but it’s nothing a puffer jacket and beanie can’t handle — and there’s still plenty to see and do during the cooler months. In fact, it’s a great time to slow down, soak up the scenery and make memories in these unique locations. Plus, with kids staying free across all Park Lane holiday parks until 28 August, there’s even more reason to plan an off-peak retreat.
Winter is especially cosy at the Yarra Valley (Healesville) and Bendigo parks, where glamping pods and domes, luxury cabins and firepits set the scene for a memorable mid-year getaway.

But whatever time of year you like to travel, there’s a Park Lane escape to suit.
Summer is ideal for beachside breaks and outdoor fun. Phillip Island and Wonthaggi are top picks for warm-weather getaways, with easy access to surf beaches, water play and family-friendly attractions.
Autumn is a great time for relaxed escapes without the crowds. Bendigo and Shepparton come alive with autumn colours and cooler temperatures that are ideal for walking, exploring local markets or taking in regional culture.
Spring brings wildflowers, longer days and perfect warmer weather for outdoor adventures across all six parks. Yarra Valley and Traralgon are especially beautiful at this time of year, with nature trails, gardens and wildlife in full display.
