MDC launches the all-new Forbes 11 Hybrid Offroad Caravan — a compact, offroad-ready caravan packed with comfort, power and value for adventurous couples.
When Market Direct Campers (MDC) first launched the Forbes range back in 2019, it quickly became one of Australia’s most recognised hybrid caravan lineups. Known for their blend of toughness, practicality and smart design, these hybrids have earned their place in the hearts of adventurous couples who love the open road.
Now, in 2025, MDC is taking things up a notch with the release of the Forbes 11 Hybrid Offroad Caravan — a compact, SUV-friendly powerhouse that proves great things really do come in small packages.
Built for the adventurous
Designed for travellers who want to explore without limits, the Forbes 11 blends rugged offroad engineering with clever space utilisation and premium inclusions rarely seen in its class. With an industry-leading RRP of $49,990, it’s shaping up to be one of Australia’s best-value offroad couples hybrids under $50k.
This latest model continues MDC’s mission to make big adventure affordable and achievable. With its hot-dipped galvanised chassis, X-TRACK independent trailing arm suspension and offroad mud terrain tyres, it’s equally at home cruising bitumen or tackling rocky backroads. Add Tuson stability control for peace of mind, and you’ve got a setup built for confidence wherever the track leads.

Compact comfort with full-size features
Despite its 11ft (3.4m) body length, the Forbes 11 delivers the kind of inclusions you’d expect from a much larger luxury caravan. Step inside and you’ll find a spacious king-size bed, an internal combination ensuite with hot and cold shower and cassette toilet, and efficient Truma Aventa air-conditioning for year-round comfort.

Outside, the stainless-steel external kitchen with Thetford gas cooktop, integrated sink and ample bench space makes outdoor cooking a pleasure. A 270° awning with full annexe turns your campsite into an expansive, protected living area in minutes — perfect for long stays or quick overnighters alike.

Powering your off-grid lifestyle
The Forbes 11 has been engineered for extended off-grid capability, with 200Ah lithium battery power, 550W of rooftop solar panels and a 1600W pure sine wave inverter from Projecta. Together, they deliver the energy independence needed for remote touring, while the diesel heater keeps things warm when the temperature drops.
Twin water tanks provide reliable supply, and the full 12V electrical system keeps all onboard appliances running smoothly. With a tare weight of approximately 1950kg and aggregate trailer mass (ATM) of 2500kg, it’s towable by many modern SUVs and mid-size 4WDs.
A new chapter for MDC
Established in 2005, MDC proudly remains family-owned and operated and has grown to be one of Australia’s largest distributors of camper trailers and caravans, with more than 40,000 units sold nationwide through its eight showrooms and retail partners. To support its customers, MDC has a dedicated in-house customer service team with an extensive service network right across Australia.
MDC was the first offroad camper trailer and hybrid caravan importer in Australia to obtain RVMAP Accreditation. Additionally, MDC is one of the few brands in the industry to have become an ISO9001 Quality Certified business.
Vaughan Hindley, Managing Director and Founder of MDC, says the Forbes 11 is about making adventure simpler and more accessible.
“MDC has always been about bringing big adventure within reach. The Forbes 11 captures everything people love about the Forbes range — strength, comfort and value — but in a lighter, more agile package.”
The Forbes 11 Hybrid Offroad Caravan will make its official debut at the Let’s Go Explore Caravan & RV Expo at Brisbane Showgrounds from 30 October to 2 November 2025.
