Bad smell in caravan

I forgot to completely empty the flush tank and give the holding tank of my Thetford Cassette toilet a thorough clean before storing the van for the last 12 months (it was emptied and rinsed). Now I have a bad smell in the van. Any suggestions what to do to eliminate this odour?
