Zone RV has secured new ownership, ensuring the premium Australian caravan manufacturer continues trading under an experienced industry operator.

There’s a new chapter unfolding for Zone RV, with the business officially set to continue under new ownership following an agreement between the liquidators and Adventure Zone RV Pty Limited — a company linked to Jamie Johnson, director of Melbourne-based Essential Caravans.

The sale marks a significant turning point for the respected Australian manufacturer, ensuring the Zone RV brand and its premium Australian-made caravans will remain in the market rather than disappearing from it. Adventure Zone RV brings established capability within the caravan industry and plans to integrate Zone RV’s high-end composite construction models into its existing operations.

A deposit has been received, and settlement is scheduled for 6 March 2026, with customers to be contacted by the new ownership team once the transaction is complete.

Keeping the wheels turning

According to liquidator Rahul Goyal at Cor Cordis, keeping the business trading during administration was a deliberate and strategic move.

“Continuing to deliver caravans was the right strategy,” Goyal said. “Shutting the business down on day one would have been a poor outcome for customers, employees and creditors.”

Since the administration began, 41 caravans have been delivered to customers, with two more scheduled in the coming days — a clear signal that maintaining operations preserved both confidence and value.

Goyal also paid tribute to the staff who remained with the company during a challenging period.

“This outcome would not have been possible without the commitment and hard work of employees who stayed on,” he said. “Their efforts were instrumental in demonstrating the strength and viability of the business to potential buyers.”

What happens next?

In the coming weeks, the focus will shift to finalising documentation and ensuring a smooth transition to the new owner. Following completion of the sale, the liquidators will continue their investigations as outlined in their report to creditors, with a further update expected in mid-April 2026.

Goyal said the successful sale demonstrates the advantages of a going-concern approach.

“At Cor Cordis, our focus is on preserving enterprise value, maintaining operations where possible and achieving outcomes that balance the interests of creditors, employees, customers and the broader community,” he said. “The sale of Zone RV ticks all the boxes.”

For customers and the broader caravanning community, the message is clear — Zone RV is not closing its doors. Instead, it is preparing to roll forward under new leadership, with its premium Australian-made vans set to remain part of the local industry landscape.
