Maverick Caravans Returns Under Urban Group Ownership

Maverick is Back Again

Maverick Caravans has officially returned under new ownership, with Australian caravan manufacturer and retailer Urban Group announcing it has secured the brand’s future stock, original manufacturing relationship and customer orders currently being shipped to Australia.

The announcement follows the recent liquidation of Maverick Campers, which created uncertainty for customers waiting for their caravans, existing owners seeking support and those connected to the brand.

The newly established Maverick Caravans is owned by Urban Group and operates separately from the company in liquidation. According to Urban Group, the new business will carry the Maverick name forward while retaining the caravan designs, build quality and offroad capability for which the range had become known.

Importantly, Urban Group says it has reached an agreement with Maverick’s original manufacturer to take on all future stock, as well as caravans currently in transit for Australian customers.

A pathway for customers awaiting delivery

One of Urban Group’s first priorities is identifying customers who placed an order with Maverick Campers and matching those orders with caravans already being shipped to Australia.

Customers with an outstanding Maverick Campers order are being asked to contact the dedicated Maverick Caravans team and provide documentation showing what they ordered and the payments they made.

Urban Group Managing Director Steven Trajcevski said the company moved quickly after learning that customer caravans were already on their way to Australia.

“Nobody who saved for a caravan should be left wondering where it is,” Mr Trajcevski said.

Urban Group will review each customer’s documentation, match their order against the available stock in transit and contact them individually to explain the next steps.

Customers with an order in progress should email maverickcaravans@urbangroup.com.au and provide:

  • Their full name and phone number
  • The Maverick caravan model ordered
  • A copy of the invoice or signed order form
  • A deposit receipt or bank transfer record
  • Any other relevant proof of purchase

A member of the Maverick Caravans team will then contact the customer directly.

While the announcement offers a potential pathway forward for customers waiting for a caravan, the new Maverick Caravans business is legally separate from the previous company.

Customers who have a financial or legal claim against Fetch Business Solutions Pty Ltd, the company in liquidation, will still need to deal with the appointed liquidator, Jirsch Sutherland, regarding that claim.

This distinction is important: Urban Group has secured the incoming stock and manufacturing relationship, but it has not taken over the liquidated company itself or automatically assumed all of its liabilities.

Support for existing Maverick owners

The announcement also addresses another major concern: what happens to customers who already own a Maverick caravan and require warranty work, spare parts, servicing or technical assistance?

Warranties issued by Maverick Campers remain obligations of the company now in liquidation. The new Maverick Caravans business has not formally assumed those previous warranty liabilities.

However, Urban Group says it does not want existing owners to be left without support. Warranty requests will therefore be considered individually, based on factors including the caravan’s age, the nature of the fault and its service history.

Owners seeking assistance should contact maverickcaravans@urbangroup.com.au and include:

  • Proof of purchase
  • The caravan’s VIN or chassis number
  • A description of the problem
  • Clear photographs showing the issue
  • Any relevant servicing or repair information

If a repair is approved, Urban Group says the work will be completed through its Touring Hub dealer network.

Although this is not the same as automatically honouring every warranty issued by the former company, it provides existing owners with a point of contact and a process through which their situation can be assessed.

Urban Group has also committed to providing Maverick owners with access to parts, servicing and technical support through the national Touring Hub network.

For owners who may have been uncertain about where to obtain help following the liquidation, having an established dealer and service network behind the revived brand could provide some welcome reassurance.

The Maverick range will continue

Beyond addressing existing orders and ownership concerns, the agreement enables production and supply of Maverick caravans to continue.

Urban Group says the partnership with the range’s original manufacturer will allow Maverick Caravans to retain the established designs and offroad focus that attracted customers to the brand in the first place.

The new business will place additional emphasis on customer service and after-sales support, backed by Urban Group’s existing manufacturing, retail and dealer operations.

“Maverick built a loyal community of people who love getting off the beaten track, and that community deserves better than uncertainty,” Mr Trajcevski said.

The relaunched Maverick Caravans range is expected to become available through Urban Group’s Touring Hub dealerships from December 2026 onwards.

Further details about the model range, dealership availability and future product plans are expected to emerge as the rollout progresses.

What does the announcement mean for customers?

For customers with caravans currently on order, the immediate priority is to contact the Maverick Caravans team and provide complete proof of purchase. Supplying the model, payment records and contact details in the first email should help Urban Group identify the relevant incoming caravan and respond with the appropriate next steps.

Existing owners requiring servicing, parts or possible warranty assistance should follow the separate support process and provide their caravan’s VIN or chassis number, proof of purchase and clear details of the issue.

Anyone with a claim specifically against the company in liquidation should continue communicating with Jirsch Sutherland. Contacting the new Maverick Caravans business does not replace the formal liquidation claims process.

The return of the Maverick name does not erase the difficulties and uncertainty created by the previous company’s liquidation. However, the agreement provides greater clarity for customers whose caravans are already in transit and gives current owners somewhere to turn for parts, servicing and case-by-case support.

For the broader caravan industry, it also means the Maverick range will remain on the Australian market, now supported by Urban Group and its Touring Hub dealership network.

The future

The latest innovation is the Offline Campers 270-Degree Batwing Awning, designed to suit its campers and match the quality and finish customers expect from the Offline brand. Each camper evolves over time. Rather than model years that reduce resale value, Offline prefers a continuous-improvement approach where future innovations are retrofittable in most cases. This reinforces the camper’s 20-plus year lifetime.

Modern campers increasingly demand self-contained rigs that reduce environmental impact — utilising solar, lithium batteries and water-management systems rather than relying on powered caravan parks.

Hybrids have become a buzzword, and many importers have flocked to the growing category hoping to snap up excess demand. For Offline Campers, the Australian hybrid camper began with the Kimberley Karavan, and only a handful of hybrids since then have kept the same philosophy: compact, rugged design with caravan features inside.

The wrap

The hybrid category grew out of interest in getting away from campgrounds and caravan parks and heading to remote Australian destinations, while maintaining the comforts of larger vans. The Solitaire sets out to solve a puzzle that had stumped manufacturers for years: how to keep the narrow width while including the features customers need, such as internal seating, a kitchen and an ensuite. Taking design cues from rear-fold campers, Offline created an ensuite design that preserves internal space while retaining the camper’s compact footprint.

By integrating sustainable technology into hybrid layouts designed for rugged, off-grid performance, Offline Campers remains a true Australian family business run by Sam, Jenna and their three children (Emily, Jayde and William), blending outdoor family passion with precision engineering.

The business is positioned to manufacture up to 100 trailers per year over the next 12 months — up from 50 in the previous year — due to increased demand.

Offline Campers plans to continue developing its range, maintaining high-quality Australian manufacturing and expanding sustainable features while staying true to its family-run, customer-focused origins.
