If you’re looking to add more carrying power to your RAM, you’re in luck. Lovells Automotive — one of Australia’s leading suspension specialists — has rolled out a fresh set of gross vehicle mass (GVM) upgrades for the RAM DT 1500 Big Horn and Laramie.
The kits boost the RAM’s payload and towing capacity, with gross combination mass (GCM) increases of up to 237kg and GVM upgrades between 250kg and 500kg, depending on the package.
Three Lovells GVM kit options to boost your adventures
RAM DT 1500 owners can choose from three kits:
- 3700kg Comfort GVM Upgrade: Heavy-duty front and rear coil springs with twin-tube Gas Legend shocks.
- 3950kg Touring GVM Upgrade: The same suspension setup but with a higher GVM rating.
- 3950kg Platinum GVM Upgrade: Heavy-duty front and rear coil springs plus eight-step, adjustable monotube remote reservoir shocks.
For the Touring and Platinum kits, GCM revisions can take the total weight you can carry up to 7950kg, depending on state/territory approvals.
Tested and certified in Australia
All kits have been tested and certified in Australia to meet both federal (pre-registration) and state (post-registration) requirements. This ensures owners and fleet operators can legally carry heavier loads without stepping outside insurable limits.
