A new name entered the Australian caravan scene in May: Gold Class Caravans, developed by Market Direct Group (MDG), the company behind MDC Camper Trailers.
The new brand officially launched with eight premium vans aimed at travellers looking for a high-spec option with everything already included — no upgrade packs required.
The initial range includes semi-offroad Luxe Class and offroad Adventure Class variants, spanning 16ft to 19ft. The lineup will expand to 12 models, with larger models in development, including flagship 4500kg ATM builds with more than 2000W solar and up to 2000Ah lithium battery capacity.
All Gold Class models are sold with a full list of inclusions as standard — covering major systems such as wireless auto-levelling airbag suspension from Airbag Man, Enerdrive electrical setups with Simarine monitoring and electronic stability control from Tuson.

External slide-out kitchens with a three-burner cooktop and plumbed sink are standard, along with Dometic air-conditioners, diesel heaters and a range of components from familiar brands including Thetford, Fusion, Narva, Eberspacher, NCE, Cowfish Technologies, Cruisemaster, MAXTRAX and Aussie Traveller.
The Adventure Class models cater to off-grid touring with larger rear storage bars, inverter-powered climate systems and rugged finishes. Luxe Class variants take a softer approach, with leatherette seating and more refined interiors.
