Adventure Entertainment (AE) and Adventures Group Holdings (AGH) have announced the completion of a new partnership to grow the Caravan World media business in Australia.

Under the arrangements AE will acquire the Caravan World print business from AGH. AGH will continue to operate the Caravan World website and digital business. The parties will collaborate on future content and partnerships work to maximise the content delivered to consumers and deliver outcomes for partners.

Caravan World is the longest running caravan focused publication in Australia with a history of producing content for caravan enthusiasts going back more than 55 years.

As part of the transaction, AE will also acquire the Outdoor brand from AGH. Outdoor was for a long time regarded as the premier outdoor and adventure magazine in Australia for more than two decades.

The transactions are effective immediately and mean that the print publication of Caravan World will continue now and into the future under AE’s management.

Caravan World has been publishing for more than 55 years

The partnership will see a renewed focus on the Caravan World print publication with AE’s expertise in producing quality print titles for the community. The magazine will exist alongside AE’s other print titles, Wild, Trail Run, Vertical Life, Australian Mountain Bike, Chillfactor, Snow Action and Stonefly.

For AGH, the transaction allows it to focus on its core digital products including the growth of its digital advertising network and Hema mapping products.

AGH CEO, Rob Gallagher said, “We are thrilled to partner with Adventure Entertainment on the Caravan World brand and to bring the new Caravan World publishing model to life. The caravan and outdoor segments are critical markets for our business and to be able to establish a partnership that continues that connection with the Caravan World magazine is highly valuable as we focus on our digital strategy. We look forward to exploring further opportunities with Toby and the broader Adventure Entertainment team.”

Adventure Entertainment CEO, Toby Ryston-Pratt said, “We are excited to establish this partnership with the Adventure Group Holdings and Hema Maps business. Caravan World is an iconic brand with a history of more than 55 years. The introduction of caravanning to the AE business adds another fabulous community of adventure seekers to our business and continues to grow our overall subscription base. We are excited to continue to serve that community with quality print publications and partner with AGH. Likewise Outdoor was, in its prime, an important part of the adventure and outdoor media landscape in Australia and we look forward to revitalising that brand as part of our portfolio.”
