An iconic festival on the Australian outback event calendar, the Deni Ute Muster returns to the Riverina NSW town this October to celebrate its 26th year with a music and events program that is bigger than ever.
Thousands of music lovers, families and ute fanatics will descend on Deniliquin, NSW, for one of Australia’s most popular bucket list events — the Deni Ute Muster — to be held across two days on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 October.
With 26 years under its belt (or tyres, if you will), the Deni Ute Muster has become a must-see event for locals and travellers from all around Australia, promising an action-packed schedule filled with music, activities for all ages, camping, and — of course — sensational ute competitions.
Front and centre at the Muster is, of course, the music. After a line-up of solely Australian artists in 2023, this year’s music program will be headlined by global US sensations Tyler Hubbard and Kip Moore.
Rounding out the main stage roster, musterers can expect showstopping sets from Australia’s cream of the crop in country and pop music (more on this later).
Tickets for the huge two-day event are on sale now, and each ticket price includes free general camping. Caravans and campers are welcome, or simply bring your ute and swag and enjoy sleeping under the outback sky. The Muster also has tents up for rent, which can be booked online.
The general camping area operates on a first come, first served basis. Alternatively, organise a reserved camping spot (in addition to your general admission ticket) for the ultimate Muster experience. But we urge you to book your spot quickly, as they are selling out fast.
History of the Deni Ute Muster
Deniliquin was a vibrant town on the edge of the outback, struggling with a crippling drought, when a group of community-minded locals devised a plan to attract much needed visitors.
The first Deni Play on the Plains Festival took place in October 1999 on the flattest, natural, open plains on earth, and with ‘ute culture’ being an intrinsic part of Deniliquin, it was unanimous that it would play a major part of the festival. The Deni Ute Muster burst into the national psyche.
In its first year, the Deni Ute Muster had approximately 5000 patrons and set a new Guinness World Record for the largest number of legally paraded utes at 2839 — a record which still stands today. Since 1999, the Deni Ute Muster has become the region’s biggest tourist drawcard and a celebration of all things Australian.

US sensation, Tyler Hubbard, will close out the Muster’s first evening. With 21 number one singles on country radio, countless awards, and sold-out tours, the remarkable songwriter (and one half of Florida Georgia Line) is bringing his extraordinary solo show to the Deni Ute Muster.
Saturday’s lineup

The four-piece turned duo (comprising original members, Cassie Leopold and Pagan Newman) topped the ARIA Australian Country Albums Chart in 2022 and also secured the 2022 Golden Guitar Award for New Talent of the Year.
From country halls in Australia’s far-flung reaches to the revered Glastonbury Festival in the UK, Fanny Lumsden has won the hearts of audiences the world over. The two-time ARIA and eight-time Golden Guitar winner redefines country music with her earnest and unique songbook.
One of Australia’s premier pop successes, Amy Shark will delight Muster fans this year with a string of chartbusting singles featured on her ARIA Award winning debut album LOVE MONSTER in 2018.
Australian singer-songwriter, Amber Lawrence is one of Australia’s most celebrated and hardest working country artists. With seven prolific studio albums and three children’s albums, the two-time ARIA nominee and six-time CMAA Golden Guitar Award winner has enjoyed an illustrious 20+ year career.
Capping off the second of two enormous days in Deni Ute Muster is US megastar Kip Moore. The genre-blending songsmith with a warm, honey-infused growl has sold millions of records and garnered over 2.9 billion streams.
