Launched back in 2006, iTechworld has established itself as a tried-and-true Australian owned and operated brand, recognised for its premium range of lithium batteries, power management solutions and accessories.
When it comes to the caravanning lifestyle, reliability, durability and innovation are some of the key characteristics we look for in our gear and power solutions. And with all iTechworld products made by Aussies for Aussies, you can rest assured they’re ready to tackle all kinds of adventures.
We’ve been lucky enough to check out plenty of iTechworld’s cutting-edge gear over the years, so we were keen to see what new and innovative products the team has launched recently.
New tech from iTechworld
iFROST fridge freezer range
While premium lithium batteries might be the first thing you think of when you hear the name iTechworld (and rightfully so), the Aussie brand is expanding its range to help create the ultimate camping setup. One of the most recent additions to its lineup is the iFROST portable fridge freezers. Available in two sizes — 40L and 95L, single and dual zone respectively — the iFROST fridges are the ideal addition to any kind of caravanning, camping or even boating adventure.
The new iFROST 40L portable fridge freezer
The fridge freezers feature rapid cooling using a powerful, high-quality compressor (either LG or Huayi) and low amp draw. Much like your fridge at home, the compressor will run until the set temperature is reached and then cycle off until it needs to run again, which, combined with premium insulation, helps with energy efficiency.
Versatility is one of the standout features of the iFROST fridge freezers, and to help with this iTechworld has ensured they can be powered using AC (alternating current) or DC (direct current). And with the 40L option only weighing 17kg, you’re not going to put too much of a dent in your payload.
But one of the most innovative features in the iFROST range is the fully reversible lid design. Convenience reigns supreme here, and the lid can be opened from both sides easily and removed entirely should you wish. This is a great touch, not only for convenience around camp but also where you can stow them in your caravan or tow vehicle.
Both models have an LCD screen for setting the temperature, and with four simple buttons and an auto-locking display it’s easy to navigate. As a single zone, the 40L can be set between -22°C to 24°C, while the 95L’s two compartments (both featuring reversible lids) can be set between -18°C to 10°C, and both offer plenty of storage space for all the food and drinks you could want.
PS3600 PRO lithium power station
iTechworld has also released a massive 300Ah portable lithium power station, the PS3600 PRO. It’s another great iTechworld-worthy power solution, packed with good old-fashioned Aussie innovation and versatile features. The PS3600 PRO’s 300Ah lithium LiFePO4 battery provides plenty of power and with a built-in 3600W 240V inverter it’s capable of running your caravan off the grid (including big appliances like the washing machine, air-conditioner and coffee machine), charging all the devices you might need and can even serve as your backup power source when you’re at home.
The new PS3600 PRO portable lithium power station
For some power context, you’ll be able to plug in your 12V fridge straight into the PS3600 PRO and run it for about two weeks (depending on what else you plug in), and when not in use and sitting idle it can hold its charge for up to six months.
It’s got AC, DC and solar connectivity, so there’s plenty of flexibility when it comes to replenishing the PS3600 PRO’s power. And there’s even the possibility of expanding the battery pack to boost your off-grid adventures even further (more on this later). “Flexibility like this is invaluable when journeying through more remote and out-of-the-way areas,” iTechworld technical writer Bailey Burke said.
For charging up your gear, the PS3600 PRO has USB-C, USB Quick Charge, 12V cigarette and DC ports, allowing you to run up to 3600W of devices at any given time. iTechworld has also incorporated pass-through charging technology, which allows the station to connect to AC or DC power and have the energy ‘pass-through’ the station to directly charge any connected appliances or devices, while still charging the power station’s battery at the same time. This pass-through technology is supported by a 10ms Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).
Several safeguards have been integrated into the design for extra protection and safety. Like all iTechworld gear, the PS3600 PRO underwent thorough testing to ensure optimum performance in Australia’s harsh climates. And the rugged construction and impressive power capacity make it suitable for intensive applications and high-demand outdoor use. An advanced battery management system (BMS) optimises the battery life, efficiency and rapid charging capabilities, “resulting in a top choice for those needing reliable, long-lasting power,” Bailey commented.
Technology is constantly evolving, and one of the current trends the iTechworld team has noted is the increase in off-grid living and demand for convenient solutions.
“As more campers wander off the beaten path, they need dependable, long-lasting power solutions that can perform in remote locations,” Bailey said. “Our power stations are the direct result of customer feedback and industry research. We knew we could offer a solution after customers expressed interest in more portable solutions. Enter our power stations — portable power that isn’t permanently fixed to anything. After introducing our first models, we’ve expanded to multiple sizes and outputs, with the PS3600 PRO as the latest offering.”
Take it to the next level
Every bit of iTechworld gear has been designed for optimal performance, but they can also be paired with other devices or accessories to enhance your camping setup. “We pride ourselves on being a one-stop shop for all your power needs, so we want to ensure we offer the best accessories and enhancements possible,” Bailey said.
A great example of this is the accessories range designed for the iFROST 40L single zone fridge freezer. If you’re heading off-grid, the iTechworld team recommends pairing it with the iFROST20Ah, a custom-made lithium battery specifically designed for the iFROST 40L. Its fully compatible with AC, DC and solar power, and uses iTechworld’s charging technology to maximise efficiency, reduce power consumption and will ensure the iFROST 40L is always ready to use, no matter where your adventures take you. And while you’re at it, check out the iFROST 40L fridge freezer cover, which has been designed to offer protection against scratches and knocks and to optimise thermal retention and energy consumption. And rest assured, it’s been designed to work seamlessly with the 40L model’s reversible lid.
For the PS3600 PRO, the iTechworld team recommends considering the EB3840 Expansion Battery to add some extra power oomph to your setup. This ability is exclusive to the PRO range, and up to two EB3840s can be added to the PS3600 PRO, expanding its capacity up to an impressive 900Ah. “The batteries can be parallel charged to 100 per cent from flat in just three hours,” Bailey explained. “This makes it perfect for off-grid power, running caravans and houses.”

Create an innovative camping setup
When we asked the iTechworld team which products it would recommend for the best and most innovative camping setup, they said the best place to start is a reliable lithium battery.
“Our lithium battery range carries all the power storage options you could need, from the flagship iTECH120X all the way up to the beefy iTECH400X PRO,” Bailey said. “iTechworld’s deep-cycle batteries are a great addition to any serious camping or caravanning setup and are the basis for anything else you’d want to add to your system.
“Traditional AGM batteries allow for only approximately 50 per cent use of the actual capacity — iTechworld’s lithium deep-cycle batteries enable you to use 100 per cent of the charge. Not only do they offer more useable power, but they’re also much lighter than their conventional counterparts, which is perfect for those looking to save weight in their caravan or setup — and lets you take more of what you really want.”
iTechworld’s complete kits make choosing the best gear for your needs a breeze
Researching what products can be paired to make the perfect system can be daunting or just a hassle. To help make things easier, iTechworld offers complete kits which include all the essential items for an optimised setup depending on the required power or travel style. For example, there’s an Under-Bonnet Kit which includes an iTECH120X, heat shield and battery charger, or you might be more intrigued by the 480Ah Lithium Caravan Kit Elite which comes with either four iTECH120X PROs or two iTECH240X PROs plus a 40A BC and 40A DC charger, 3000W PRO inverter, BM500 battery monitor, RC3 PRO remote control and the option of four 150W solar panels. All in all, these kits take the hassle out of figuring out the greatest products to pair together for optimum performance and offers an all-in-one power solution.
An extended stay off-grid is going to need a bigger power setup compared to a short weekend stint not far from a mains power source. iTechworld has some larger power solutions on offer for those who enjoy off-grid camping and some kits with all the essentials already bundled. The Off-grid Solar Generator kits are a good place to start. These comprehensive kits are available in three sizes and include solar panels so that you can generate your own electricity, lithium batteries for storing the electricity, a battery charger for efficient charging, a MPPT solar controller for optimal solar charging, an inverter for converting DC power to AC and a BM500 battery monitor for real-time statistics and systems vitals. Simply choose the system that best suits your power requirements, and you’ve got a comprehensive and reliable setup.
Every bit of gear in one of iTechworld’s complete kits can be purchased separately. If you’re only looking to enhance your power setup, then the team recommends “looking at the bigger batteries like the iTECH400X PRO and the iTECH300SS, which are able to provide and store huge amounts of power for your system,” Bailey said.
For those who like a more traditional power source, consider iTechworld’s Redback portable inverter generator range. The Redback’s variable engine speed can provide up to six hours of runtime from a single fuel tank and these inverter generators are much quieter than traditional generators (only a little louder than your home fridge). And the performance isn’t lacking either, and the Redbacks will be able to run most caravan air-conditioners and other appliances simultaneously.

More new gear on the horizon
iTechworld is constantly evolving and seeking out new ways to innovate. An exciting bit of news is that the brand’s solar range is getting an upgrade. All solar panels will be updated with all-new HPX PRO TECHNOLOGY.
“Unlike traditional front-contact solar cells with busbars on the surface, HPX PRO TECHNOLOGY cells move the electrical contacts to the back of the panel, reducing shading over the cells and the panel’s thickness. This allows more sunlight to be absorbed and converted into electricity. Thanks to the greatly increased surface area, these cells are also much more efficient than their conventional counterparts (they look better, too!)” explained Bailey.
