SA Show sneak peek
Following the $50m development of the Goyder Pavilion and Duncan Gallery at the Adelaide Showground, the Caravan and Camping Industries Association of SA (CCIASA) seeks to attract more exhibitors and visitors than ever before.
The event last year drew almost 38,000 people who inspected the wares of 220 exhibitors, making it the second largest SA caravan show in five years.
Australia’s first major show of the new year is an opportunity for the public to see the latest in RV design, accessories, tents and camping gear, but other attractions include a “come and try” fishing and scuba diving tank; a rock climbing wall (free); a Variety Bash car display; and free Ferris wheel rides on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the show. Visitors also have the opportunity to win daily prizes.
And those who enjoy a spot of nostalgia shouldn’t miss the display of vintage caravans and matching tow vehicles; among the line-up will be the well known fifth wheeler, Highway Palace.
Other anticipated highlights include Track Trailer’s Topaz van, on display at the Dave Benson Caravans stand and the unveiling of Mike Griggs Caravan Service Centre’s new range of vans, Encounter.
The SA Caravanning and Camping Show will be held at the Adelaide Showground, February 25 to March 1, 10am to 6pm. Entry costs $13 for adults, $9 concession, and children under 15 are free. For more information, phone (08) 8260 4488 or visit
