Celebrate the winter solstice in Forbes, NSW, with fire, music and food at the much-loved Frost and Fire festival, lighting up the lakeside on 21 June 2025.

Held at the scenic Forbes Ski Dam, the Frost and Fire festival is back for the sixth year. Great for travellers of all ages, this event will once again feature two large effigy bonfires to mark the shortest day/longest night of the year, along with live performances from a strong line-up of Australian bands. New for 2025, several local pubs and hotels will be getting into the festival spirit and will be offering ‘Frost and Fire Cocktails’.

Held from 4pm to 10pm, Frost and Fire has become the biggest cultural event on the local calendar. The event offers a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere with live music, fire dancers, great warming food from local vendors, boutique brews and toasty fire buckets, all set against the backdrop of the winter solstice evening.
