CTIAV pledges $10,000 to local CFA branches

The Caravan Industry Australia, Victorian Trades Division, (CTIAV) is encouraging its members to donate money to local CFA branches who fought to suppress Vic’s recent fires.

The appeal will help local CFA branches replenish equipment lost or damaged in the fires that devastated parts of Vic this month, some of which continue to rage. The association launched the initiative by pledging $10,000 to be distributed amongst six local CFA branches: Callignee; Mudgeonga; Marysville; Bunyip; Redesdale and Kinglake West. According to the CTIAV, many of the nominated stations are one truck units that rely heavily on donations from the community.

The CTIAV council also promises to give a percentage of one day’s gate takings from the 2009 Victorian Caravan, Camping and Touring Supershow, which will be held at Caulfield from May 6, 2009, towards the appeal.

Affiliated members are encouraged to send their cheques into the CTIAV’s North Melbourne offices by March 6.
