10-year anniversary for Hunter Ramblers

The Hunter Ramblers, a branch of the Australian Caravan Club (ACC) based on the NSW Central Coast, recently celebrated its 10th anniversary of formation.

In April members gathered at South West Rocks to celebrate its formation. A single caravanner living in Lake Macquarie decided to contact other local RV owners to form a group. Nine vans and 18 people turned up at Taylors Beach Caravan Park for the initial 'meet and greet', and the Ramblers has since expanded to 32 members.
Branch president Ken Arnold praised those involved with the branch.
“Members of the Hunter Ramblers had a great time celebrating our 10th anniversary,” Arnold said.
“We had a very special morning tea and dinner to mark the occasion. In fact, the celebrations went on for an entire day. Branch foundation members Ian and Cheryl Sherlock cut our 10th anniversary cake at the morning tea.”
Arnold said the long term success of the Ramblers was because of the friendships and adventures shared between members.
“We are a friendly group. We have around six musters every year and when one muster is over, we all start looking forward to meeting up for the next one,” he said.
