A New Winnebago Release

Winnebago Australia has unveiled the all-new Odyssey 40I at the NSW Caravan Camping Holiday Supershow, marking the first release in a nine-model pipeline and signalling a new direction for the brand across Australia and New Zealand.

Winnebago

Spanning three distinct series and nine models, the upcoming range reflects a more structured product strategy for the region, designed to deliver broader coverage across key customer segments. The portfolio will include both car licence and light rigid offerings, with the Odyssey 40I setting the benchmark for what follows. Designed in Australasia and manufactured in New Zealand by Action Manufacturing, part of the thl family, the motorhome reflects a clear focus on build quality, engineered durability and refined premium travel.

A New Benchmark in Design and Construction

At the core of the Odyssey 40I is Winnebago’s Omni Panel Construction System, a precision engineered structure that integrates strength, insulation and advanced sealing into a single build. This more robust construction methodology, combined with the strategic use of composite materials, enhances durability, reduces body movement and delivers a quieter, more stable driving experience. A seamless fibreglass exterior creates clean lines and a premium road presence. Inside the motorhome introduces a more refined interior direction with high-grade lightweight materials and considered finishes balance durability with elevated design. Ambient lighting further enhances comfort and liveability. Three interior palettes, inspired by iconic Australian locations including the Yarra Valley, Colomatta (Blue Mountains) and K’gari (Fraser Island), reinforce a distinctly local design approach.

Functionality Meets Everyday Liveability

Configured as a four-berth motorhome, the Odyssey 40I has been designed to maximise both usability and comfort, with a strong user-centric approach to both interior and exterior design. A private rear bedroom with island bed is complemented by a Luton bed, alongside a fully equipped kitchen, dedicated dinette, and separate toilet and shower. The layout delivers a highly liveable space suited to extended travel. The inclusion of the Renogy One Vision System provides centralised control of power, lighting and tank management, streamlining key functions through a single, intuitive interface. Supporting long-term ownership confidence, the Odyssey 40I is backed by market-leading warranty coverage, including a 7-year structural warranty, 3-year interior warranty, and 3-year OEM manufacturer warranty.

Positioned for a Broader Customer Base

In a first for the new range, the Odyssey 40I is configured to be driven on a light rigid licence, forming part of a broader strategy to offer both light rigid and car licence models across the lineup. This approach expands accessibility while maintaining a premium level of space and specification. As the first release in a broader rollout, the model signals a shift toward more considered, locally relevant product development, supported by thl’s vertically integrated approach across design, manufacturing and retail. “This launch represents a significant step forward for Winnebago in this market,” said Stacey Davis, Chief Operating Officer - Australia. “We’ve taken a more deliberate approach to how these products are designed and delivered, focusing on quality, durability and usability for customers. As the first of nine new models, the Odyssey 40I sets a clear foundation for the direction of the range and where we see the premium RV segment evolving.”

On Display at the NSW Caravan Camping Holiday Supershow
