Rhino-Rack Batwing Awning: Product Test

Rhino-Rack Batwing Awning: Product Test - Caravan World Australia

Funny, isn’t it, how installing campsite covers causes the greatest headaches just when its most desired.

Thankfully, the latest Rhino-Rack Batwing eases the tension providing fast 270 degrees of cover from the top of your 4WD. In fact, the new design particularly suits solo travel thanks to the fully integrated legs that unclip from the storage and fully extend to 2.3m for compatibility with some RVs!

Both lightweight and durable, the sleek black powdercoated aluminium poles have an easy grip handle to loosen and extend, while new rare earth magnets click to hold the arms for easier storage and more time in the great outdoors.

And with thicker Velcro straps to keep the awning secure when packed in place, your Batwing will travel well on any offroad adventures.

You needn’t drill holes it fit it to your rack either, with supplied top quality brackets with high and low fitments securely holding it into place.

Two pegs in the base of the leg provide extra support in blowy conditions, and an eight guy ropes/10-peg configuration when the weather gets extreme.

Made from heavy-duty rip-stop fabric, the awning is both water and mould resistant and independently tested to UPF 50 plus for comfort and safety outdoors.

Stored in a sleek black UV-resistant PVC bag and compatible tent extensions and side walls, it’s also great for evicting the older kids out of the van or for ring-ins on your next adventure.
