Small Space Packing for Big Days Outside

Packing a caravan is a balancing act: enough supplies for the trip, enough entertainment for the kids, and somewhere to put it all.

Australian children’s beach and outdoor label Coast Kids helps ease the squeeze with lightweight silicone buckets, frisbees and sand moulds. The flexible toys squish right down to fit around other belongings, then spring back into shape when the family reaches the sand.

Coast Kids co-founder Morgan Clark said travelling with children shouldn’t mean leaving their favourite beach toys behind.

“A rigid bucket takes up a surprising amount of room when you’re trying to fit everything into a caravan or camping setup,” Mrs Clark said.

“Ours squish into the gaps, so you don’t lose precious packing space and the kids still have awesome toys to keep them happy on beach days.”

Easy to carry from the campsite to the shoreline, the silicone range can be rinsed after play and packed away for the next stop.

“As a mum of two, I know a bucket, spade and a few moulds can keep the kids busy digging, building and inventing games while we settle in for the afternoon,” Ms Clark said.

“That’s what we had in mind when we developed the range, simple toys that get plenty of use, whether you’re at the local beach or discovering a new favourite spot on holiday.”

Coast Kids’ water-resistant caps, made from regenerated nylon, also earn their place on the packing list, with one hat suited to beach days, campsite adventures and sightseeing.

“Things that do more than one job make holiday packing so much easier and our caps can go from a morning exploring to an afternoon by the water and gives mum and dad one less thing to think about,” Ms Clark said.

Founded in 2021 by sisters Morgan Clark and Mallory Faleono, Coast Kids is based in Woonona on the NSW South Coast. Its colourful children’s beach and outdoor range is inspired by Australian coastal life and the brand’s motto, “Wherever play takes you”.
