Englaon TV and Soundbar

Most caravan televisions offer basic picture quality and sound. We have been using this latest combination TV and Soundbar, and it is a real step forward.

Over the past few weeks, we've been testing pre-release versions of the latest Englaon 32" television and sound bar, and I have to say they are far superior to any caravan system I've come across.

With the release of this latest entertainment package, Englaon has added a new dimension to enjoying your favourite programs, movies, sports and music when travelling.

The X90Pro Series TVs are available in 27" and 32" sizes and offer genuine 4K resolution. They are the world's first 12V-powered Smart TVs, enabling you to stream high-quality content via the internet using the built-in Google Assistant and Chromecast. Android 14 provides access to the latest streaming apps, including Disney, YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Technology, including Motion Estimation and Motion Compensation (MEMC) and Dolby Vision, enhances fast-moving action and provides a wide dynamic range of colour and sharpness.

Designed for an off-grid lifestyle

The TV is rugged and lightweight, making it perfect for caravans, RVs, boats or off-grid setups that run on 12V or 24V DC power. You can also tune in to local stations through your standard aerial.

Also newly released is Englaon's 12VSBMAXDA Dolby Atmos 12V Soundbar, which provides authentic, immersive sound to complement the improved picture quality. The soundbar is designed to mount to the new X90Pro series televisions and includes a sturdy mounting bracket at the bottom of the TV for a tidy integrated look. Setting up and connecting to the TV was simple via an HDMI cable with eARC, which is designed explicitly for uncompressed audio signal transmission.

Importantly, these numbers aren’t just ‘marketing speak’ — we went out and tested them ourselves.

Looks great, sounds great

The Dolby Atmos Soundbar delivers 40W of sound through dual speakers and a bass relief tube for clear audio. We often watch a lot of YouTube Music in the evening when we are travelling, and the sound from the Englaon system was authentic and enjoyable. You control both image and sound through the TV remote.

Because the soundbar is Bluetooth 5.3 enabled, you can also use it to stream music from a phone or computer.

Both the television and soundbar include all essential cables and accessories, such as a wall-mount plate and a base mount. (The wall bracket is optional, but most vans come with one as standard.) We used the base mount and travel with the system on the bed for protection, although I noticed an accessory bag on Englaon's website that offers extra protection.

The 27" X90Pro TV costs $749.95, and the 32" version is $799.95, while the new Dolby Atmos Soundbar is $279.95 with Australia-wide free delivery. They are available from Engalon
